QuestionPlease help me learn how to dry WITHOUT using the wash cycle. For example, sometimes, I'd like to dry towels a bit longer than other articles of clothing. I have read the manual and looked online and still cannot determine how to use JUST the dryer mode

- Answer I retract my last answer LG is correct you can dry only but you need to use the cotton/normal setting and then just put in the dry time you want. It will spin the clothes and then dry them. Now I really LOVE this machine.

- Answer It takes about 1 hour for T-shirts, heavy bath towels take about 1.5 hours, queen size blanket takes about 2 hours.

- Answer Hi GmaMary. The W x H x D dimensions for the LG 2.3 cu.ft. Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer, Model # WM3488HS and those for the WM3431HS are almost the same. The W x H x D dimensions for the WM3488HS are: 24" x 33 1/2" x 25 1/4" (45" D with door open) and those for the WM3431HS are: 23 5/8" x 33 1/4" x 25 3/8” (42 17/32” (D with door open)...^IFV

QuestionHello, Can someone who has this unit already measure exact width? My closet has an entry door which is 23'' 7/8. I know the specs says that the width of the unit is 24'', but is it really 24''? Thanks!

- Answer The width is 24”. The depth may be 24”, but space is needed for water connections and discharge hoses. Other than those little problems, the washer/dryer runs great.

Questionmy wash and dry machine has 2 problems: 1.does not dry when is on "direct wear" function and 2.on "wash and dry" function it has to high temperature:83,8 Celsius, the clothes smell like plastic smoked and they are shrinked. Can I download any dry app

- Answer I had to postpone the delivery date to late next week but my understanding is that installation is free, I am not giving up my basement washer/dryer until they die but I thought taking away was also in the price. I would suggest calling the Home/Washer department of Best Buy to be sure I am right. They have been very helpful when I have called.

QuestionCan I keep this washer dryer on a custom built cabinet with wheels? I plan on moving it a few feet closer to my sink when i use the machine. Also, is it noisy? Will it shake if not flat on the floor?

- Answer The LG - 2.3 cu.ft. 14-Cycle Front-Loading Compact Washer and 7-Cycle Dryer Combo with Steam, Model # WM3488HW has to be installed on a solid floor that is strong enough to support the weight of the washing machine, even when fully loaded, without flexing or bouncing. If the floor has too much flex, you will need to reinforce it to make it more rigid otherwise it will cause severe vibration and noise. The floor should be as flat as possible. Regrettably, we are unable to advise you about the use of your custom built cabinet with wheels...^IFV

- Answer If the LG - 2.3 cu.ft. 14-Cycle Front-Loading Compact Washer and 7-Cycle Dryer Combo with Steam - White, Model # WM3488HW is improperly installed in a humid area without proper ventilation the humidity can become an issue and if installed in such an area for a long period of time, that could lead to a buildup of detergent residue in the washing machine that may produce mildew or musty smells...^IFV

- Answer The connectors on the hot and cold water inlet hoses for the LG - 2.3 cu.ft. 14-Cycle Front-Loading Compact Washer and 7-Cycle Dryer Combo with Steam, Model # WM3488HW have a 3/4" garden hose thread. Depending on whether you have male or female threads on the water spout on your kitchen faucets, you may or may not need an adapter. You will need to identify what type of threads you have and what their size is to determine if you need an adapter...^IFV
