“My husband says that with these you can't tell when washing cycle ends and drying cycle begins. It was a different brand. How does this work, does it wash then alert you to select the dry cycle? or do you preset those?”

If you do not set the drying cycle for the LG 2.3 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Washer and 14-Cycle Electric Dryer Combo with Steam - Graphite Steel, Model # WM3499HVA when you are setting the washing cycle, the unit will stop when the wash cycle ends. The washing machine plays a melody when the wash cycle is finished. The capacity of the machine for washing clothes is twice as much as when drying clothes. If the machine is to be used to dry a load, then the wash load must be reduced by half for effective drying performance. If a full load is washed, remove half the clothes prior to starting the dry cycle.
