  • QuestionWhy every time my laundry is done it appears a code CD?

    Asked by Ana1.

    • Answer The 'CD' showing on your display for the LG 2.3 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Washer and 14-Cycle Electric Dryer Combo with Steam - Graphite Steel, Model # WM3499HVA every time your laundry is normal. It indicates that the unit is in "Cool Down" mode. When the drying is complete, the "CD" message displays. A prompt for "End of Cycle" displays for 9 seconds. After that time, a prompt that says "Press Any Button to Unload the Items" and "Unload" will alternate every 3 seconds. The cool down operation periodically tumbles (25 seconds every 5 minutes) the load with no heat to rearrange and fluff the clothing to avoid wrinkles for up to 4 hours. The cool down cycle will continue either until you press any of the buttons to remove your clothes or until 4 hours have passed...^IFV

  • QuestionCan I connect and disconnect the machine from kitchen sink faucet everytime i will used it? And can I used with only one line of hot or cold water?

    Asked by Jaee.

    • Answer Disconnecting and connecting the LG 2.3 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer, Model # WM3499HVA from your kitchen faucets every time you use the machine is at your discretion. As long as the water inlet hoses are attached securely to prevent leaks, this will not affect the machine's operation. Both water inlet valves have to be connected to a water source. You cannot leave on open and just have the other attached to your water supply line. Keep in mind that if you have both water inlet valves connected to your hot water supply line that you will only get hot water washes and if you have both attached to your cold water line, you will only get cold water washes...^IFV

  • QuestionMy husband says that with these you can't tell when washing cycle ends and drying cycle begins. It was a different brand. How does this work, does it wash then alert you to select the dry cycle? or do you preset those?

    Asked by Home.

    • Answer If you do not set the drying cycle for the LG 2.3 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Washer and 14-Cycle Electric Dryer Combo with Steam - Graphite Steel, Model # WM3499HVA when you are setting the washing cycle, the unit will stop when the wash cycle ends. The washing machine plays a melody when the wash cycle is finished. The capacity of the machine for washing clothes is twice as much as when drying clothes. If the machine is to be used to dry a load, then the wash load must be reduced by half for effective drying performance. If a full load is washed, remove half the clothes prior to starting the dry cycle. You can perform a Dry Only cycle. All Dry Only cycles begin with a brief spin cycle to extract as much moisture as possible from the load before drying...^IFV

  • QuestionSomeone said it should not go In an RV. Why???

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer This specific model does not have a statement regarding use in an RV. Install the washing machine on a solid floor that is strong and rigid enough to support the weight of the washing machine, even when fully loaded, without flexing or bouncing. If the floor has too much flex, you may need to reinforce it to make it more rigid. If the floor is not solid, it may cause severe vibration and noise. Allow for sufficient space between the walls and the washing machine for installation. ^Daphane

  • QuestionHello, does the 24” inch model have a pedestal option? Is a pedestal recommended to reduce vibration? Thanks

    Asked by Liz.

    • Answer Regrettably, LG does not manufacture a compatible Laundry Pedestal for the LG 2.3 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer, Model # WM3499HVA. Laundry Pedestals are not designed to reduce noise and vibrations and can exacerbate the issue if they are not installed properly. The washer should be installed on a solid floor that is strong and rigid enough to support the weight of the washing machine, even when fully loaded, without flexing or bouncing. If the floor has too much flex, you may need to reinforce it to make it more rigid. If the floor is not solid, it may cause severe vibration and noise. A floor that is adequate for a top-loading washer may not be rigid enough for a front loading washer, due to the difference in the spin speed and direction. If the floor is not solid, your washer may vibrate and you may hear and feel the vibration throughout your house. Before installing the washer, make sure the floor is clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, water and oils so the washer feet can not slide easily. Leveling feet that can move or slide on the floor can contribute to excess vibration and noise due to poor contact with the floor. If necessary, you can purchase anti-skip pads to place underneath the leveling legs on the washer...^IFV

  • Questiondoes condensation collect around ventless dryers? do i have to worry about mold growing around the machine? how much space needs to be left around machine to make sure it has enough air so it doesn't get damp?

    Asked by gin.

    • Answer Since the LG 2.3 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer, Model # WM3499HVA uses cold water to remove the heat from the dryer then dispose of the water through the drain, it is important that the dryer is installed in an area of low humidity. If the area that you install it in has high humidity, condensation can occur on and below the dryer and if too much condensation is present, it can pool on the floor which can cause mold and mildew to form. It is also important to wipe the door and the inside of the door seal to remove any moisture. Leave the door open to dry the washer tub interior. Wipe the body of the washing machine with a dry cloth to remove any moisture. You must allow sufficient space for the waterline, and the drain lines and an inch on the sides for proper airflow around the machine. Be sure to allow for wall, door, or floor moldings that may increase the required clearances...^IFV

  • QuestionCan I still use without wifi

    Asked by Stephanie.

    • Answer Thank you for your interest in the LG Washer/Dryer (WM3499HVA) model. The LG WM3499HVA is equipped with Wi-Fi technology, allowing you to control and monitor the washer/dryer through the LG SmartThinQ® app. However, the absence of Wi-Fi or the choice not to use it does not prevent the basic operation of the appliance. You can still use the washer/dryer without connecting it to Wi-Fi.
