• We have found this fridge to be very quiet but when it shuts down it sighs! Which we find to be quite cute.

• This model is hardly silent, but it's quieter than the larger Maytag it replaced. My wife and I find it acceptable, plus she likes the look of this LG French Door model much more than the single door Maytag we replaced.
