InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Side-By-Side Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LSXC22396D and other LG Black Stainless Steel Appliances and the regular Stainless Steel Appliances used on our other appliances are not magnetic so magnets will not stick on the doors. They will only stick on the sides of these appliances...^IFV

- Answer You don't want Smart ThinQ anyways! It's useless and it doesn't help diagnose anything! It just says that it could not detect any abnormal operation. It lets you change the preset temperature through the app, but what's the point? It doesn't read the actual temperature inside the refrigerator! Why would anyone need to change the set temperature remotely? One or two degrees hardly makes any noticeable difference. The app is full of adds and requires your location to be on, plus every time you use the app, it turns Bluetooth on for no reason! There no Bluetooth anything on this fridge! Worthless, useless, pointless!

Questionwhen the doors open how do the hinges work? Do they turn inward and the door is flush with the side of the fridge or do they turn outward (like a French door fridge) and they stick out a few inches past the side of the fridge?

Side-by-Side InstaView Door-in-Door Counter-Depth Smart Wi-Fi Refrigerator, Model # LSXC22396D has a width of 35 7/8" with the doors closed and when the doors are opened 90˚, it has a width of 44 5/16" (includes handles). One half of the door hinge is attached to the door and the other to the refrigerators cabinet. The hinges turn outward like those on our French door refrigerators...^IFV

QuestionIm curious why you only offer parts and labor for 1 year, but no labor for the 10 years and just parts? Customers spend on average over $2,000.00 for the LG brand but you only stand behind your quality for 1 year? Why not 10??

- Answer Gives the merchant the opportunity to up sell you an extended warranty. The profit margin on most appliances are very thin. It is more a matter of economics than to an extent- quality. The added benefit of the short warranty releases the manufacturer of long term repair liability.

QuestionHow long can the light stay on for the Instaview? What if we want it on longer than a simple view timeframe to show it off? Are the handles of the doors the same material as the doors?

- Answer The light stays on for about 8 seconds which is sufficient since you're only viewing what's in the door in door and not the entire fridge. Just retap and the light will turn on again if you like. The door handles are the same material as the doors, they match.

QuestionWhat LG models have the new and improved updated compressor. Has this update taken care of the issue?

- Answer I bought LG refrigerator 2015. Since then, I had to replace its 'ice maker', 'compressor' and 'motherboard'. Last time when its motherboard was replaced, it stopped running within 2 hours after the replacement. LG technician mad a FAKE REPORT saying that it stopped running due to an electrical issue with our outlet. What a ridiculous made-up story!! Now, LG Service is telling me that I need to pay for the repair after they FAILED to repair in a timely manner with its 30-day warranty! After dealing with LG Customer Service and a lousy technician with bad attitudes, I'll never buy LG product in my life!!
