“The Best Buy instructional video about how to measure in preparation for the delivery said that 3.75 inches is required on the side if the fridge is along a wall. Only one side will be along a wall. The width of my opening is 35 inches. Will this work?”

The Energy Star® Qualified LG 21.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFD22520S has a width of 29 3/4". When the doors are opened 90˚ (includes the handles), it has a width of 38 1/4". That means that you will need 4.25" on either side for either door to be opened 90˚ which will allow to to extend the drawers fully. The doors will need to open wider than 90˚ to remove the shelves for cleaning. If your current space is 35", it will not be wide enough to open the doors sufficiently...^IFV
