• I'm asking about when the freezer door is open and the ice bin is exposed. I'm concerned if the ice can be contaminated?

• Hi Jcole371. The Ice Bin is located directly under the Automatic Ice Maker in the top left corner of the Freezer Compartment of the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 21.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFDS22520S and it is highly improbable that "any stuff can accidentally get in the ice bin when you open the freezer drawer"...^IFV
