QuestionThe opening in my cabinets is exactly 70.25" and this refrigerator has a listed height of 70.25". Will it fit?

- Answer I would go to store, measure carefully, taking into account if your cabinets which open at top of refrigerator have enough space measure the space at back of refrigerator as well as the sides and top, where the hinges are. I took three measurements---top of back to floor, middle to floor and hinges to floor. I didn't take any chances. I have the refrigerator now, and it is great ! My model isLRFXC2406S/00

QuestionWe just purchased this fridge and there is a screeching noise that seems to happen once an hour or so. It sounds like water is dispensing inside (for 3 seconds) then there’s a dropping noise. Maybe the ice? It’s pretty loud. Is this normal?

QuestionI just had this refrigerator installed today. Is there not a drip tray for the water/ice dispenser? Every fridge I've ever had has had one. I am worried about water dripping down the front of my fridge.

Hold the cup beneath the dispenser for a few seconds after dispensing to catch all of the drops. QuestionHas anything changed with the design of the linear compressor since last model from 2017? My friend had the 2017 version and had to have it replaced twice before it was replaced with something else. I like this model for the dual ice makers. Thanks.

- Answer Hello Joanna. Most, if not all of our refrigerators use our Linear Compressors and any reported issues with the Liner Compressor was relegated to a few refrigerator models and did not affect all of our refrigerators. The issues would have been resolved at the time the issue was reported. We are not aware of any reported issues with regards to the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG cu. ft. QuestionHave the linear compressor issues been fixed on the 2019 or upcoming 2020 models. Retail stores in the Carolinas have advised us to not buy LG until they redesign the compressor. The LG has great features. And is quiet.

- Answer We appreciate your interest in our refrigerators. We are always reevaluating the parts used in our products to ensure the standards that are set are achieved. We make changes to not only the parts but to the warranty as well when needed. Our refrigerators now come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty on the entire unit as well as a 5 year parts and labor warranty on the compressor and sealed system and a 10 year parts only warranty on the compressor. ^CP

QuestionI read that LG refrigerator has a lot of problems with the linear compressor to the point that technicians are hesitant to fix them and that there is a class action lawsuit against Lg. Has the technical problem been fixed in the newest models ?
