“As a follow up I am interested in if when any of the three doors are not completely closed (believe it was the bottom freezer compartment both times), if the refrigerator and freezers cooling completely shuts off to all locations.”

Regardless of whether the freezer drawer or either of the refrigerator compartment doors on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 23.5 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator - Black Stainless Steel, Model # LRFXC2406D are not completely closed, cooling is not shut off to any location. If the doors or drawer are not completely closed, cold air will escape from the compartments and as it escapes, warm air is pulled in causing the temperature in the compartments to go up. As a result, the compressor will kick on to attempt to bring the temperature down to the set temperatures for each compartment. Depending on how much that temperature goes up, it may take the compressor longer to bring the temperature down so the compressor has to run for a longer period of time which will result in significantly higher electrical bills...^IFV
