I have recently accepted delivery of this refrigerator. I, too, was interested in this question: so I used an infrared non contact thermometer. I have found that the liquid items I've stored in this compartment are at an almost identical temperature to those in the general interior of the refrigerator. I have my refrigerator set at 40 degrees F (recommended) and further found that this temperature is pretty much identical when measured. I.E.: at a set of 40 degrees it IS 40 degrees. Although I've been using this refrigerator for only a few days. Storing frequently used items in the door in door is quite nice.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, I would recommend you put milk in the main refrigerator compartment. However, good luck with your Samsung. They ended up refunding me 100% of the purchase price on my Samsung 4 door because the ice maker had so many problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Using a standalone digital thermometer, I have found that the door-in-door air temp runs about 2 to 3 degrees warmer than the main cooling chamber. For this reason, I keep water and sodas in the door but keep milk and other perishables in the main chamber. The main chamber is set to 36 while door-in-door runs about 39 degrees.
