“Will this fridge stand up to being in a Texas garage - especially in the summer? Is there a special finish that a garage fridge needs to avoid rust, etc that forms on a "garage" fridge?”

I would put it on top of a pallet, or some sort of elevated surface with good air flow. Design and the “guts” of it are simple. No fancy wiring or pipe-work for the cooling system. But it’ll keep things from getting too hot. Cleaning is simple. Damp microfiber cloth is working well to get rid of prints and dust. Haven’t used any chemicals on it. Interior is very simple to clean, very roomy.
