My opening door into the kitchen is a little over 29 inches. They took off the handle from the freezer and then slid the frig by the side with one door open then the other. I did have a minor knick on my door frame--frig was not marked in any way. It was amazing to watch them maneuver the frig. They did not have to remove any drawers. I guess it's possible, but they really don't like to do that.
