QuestionI just got this dishwasher installed. The dishes dried but the plastic bowls and the machine tub stay wet when using Extra Drying. Is there a feature to completely dry the dishes? My old machine was very hot and all dry after the cycle.

- Answer Hey Joe, my machine is new too and I had a similar experience. The plastics and tub drying got waaaaay better after I put a rinse-aid in (I used Finish brand). Even better after I set it to "Night Dry" mode. Now, I usually only need to dry off plastics because of excess water that collects in the rims/recesses.

- Answer I'm not sure what the technical meaning is. I can tell you it is whisper quiet. You can tell when the steam function is on but it is barely noticeable. This is our 3rd dishwasher in 20 years, replaced a kitchenaid which was quiet but had other problems. This is the quietest and best cleaning of the three. We were in the market for a Bosch 800 but you cant get them. This LG performs every bit as well as the Bosch is advertised to perform.

QuestionIs there a way to determine the status of the of time left from beginning to end when the dishwasher is running?

- Answer The digital display on the control panel shows the estimated cycle time. When the cycle and options are selected, the display shows the total estimated time to complete those selections. During operation, the display shows the remaining estimated operating time. ^Daphane

- Answer For model LDP6810SS do not use detergent tablets for shorter wash cycles. The tablet may not dissolve completely, causing detergent residue on dishes and inefficient cleaning. ^Daphane

QuestionCan this dishwasher have a panel front?

- Answer You can get a front panel model. We have had issues with the front panel dishwashers being too sensitive to the touch, could be activated by accidently brushing up against it, so we prefer top panel control. Works better for us.

QuestionCan you stop the cycle to remove something and restart it again? My current dishwasher will force you to restart the whole load if you need to do that -- no matter how far it is in the cycle.

QuestionThe dishwasher doesn’t seem to always lock into place. I’ve checked to make sure that nothing is in the way of the door, still doesn’t shut at times and the steam gets on the top of the dishwasher. Do you know what can be causing this?

- Answer I've noticed that if I have a heavy pan on the top rack, it can cause the top rack to sag in the back. If that happens, the top rack won't seat properly in the back, and it can push the door open a bit, just enough for water to accumulate on the top. Balancing the weight (front to back) seems to resolve it for me. Hope this helps.

QuestionDoes this come with the parts needed to effectively install or will I have to purchase a installation kit of some sort?

- Answer Always best to start with a new installation kit. Our installer used the old hose even through a new one was supplied. He had to return within an hour because of a pool of water on the floor. Used the new kit, all has been fine since then.

QuestionDoes this model have a "short cycle" . This is a great cycle to use for a load of dishes that comes from the table to the dishwasher and doesn't need 3 hours for cleaning. I generally only do air drying. Will this dishwasher work for me? Thanks
