• Hello, this unit requires the water be at full temp to properly wash the dishes. It has a small internal water heater to assist with cycles such as sanitary. ^AC

• I don't think so because requirement is that the water be temp at least 149 degrees.

• Yes it does, but all you need to do is turn on the sink faucet to get the water hot then turn on the dishwashet
