The two dots you referring to are the mounting holes if you choose to have door swing opposite direction and need to move handle to other side.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi John, Are the dots on the front of the door, towards the edge? If so, those are hole cap covers used in case you need the door hinged on the other side, the dots or caps cover the hole.
