I assume the water line is hooked up and turned on?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Krist. We regret to read that your LG 26.2 cu. ft. Ultra Capacity Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Ice & Water Dispenser, Model # LSXS26326S will not dispense water or ice. Are there any error codes showing on the display? The refrigerator has self-diagnostic tools that help to identify what the issue is when it malfunctions and show an error message on the display. If there aren't any error codes, check to see if the ice in the ice bin is clumped. The more ice is used, the less it will clump. If it is not used frequently, the cubes may clump into one large mass of ice as the freezer runs through defrost cycles. Check the delivery chute to see if there is any ice stuck in it or if it is clogged with frost or ice fragments. Pull out the ice bin and check to see if the small motor that turns the augur in the ice bin has ice or frost accumulation. If the ice maker is stuck, you can gently tap the ice maker with the heel of your palm in order to break the clumped ice apart so that the bin can be removed. In the door, there is a flap that ice comes through during dispensing. Water can accumulate around this flap and cause it to freeze shut. Check to see if the flap is frozen. If it is, try to manually move it. If it does not open, melt the accumulation with a warm, wet cloth, dry it and the chute and attempt to dispense ice again. If you are still experiencing issues after troubleshooting as advised, your refrigerator will require a repair service. The recommended temperature for LG refrigerators is -4°F (20°C), and if your refrigerator's temperature is lower, that may cause frozen water lines which will prevent the water from dispensing. Press the dispenser button or lever and listen to hear if it hums or sounds like it is trying to dispense. If you do not hear anything, check to make sure that the dispenser is not locked. When the lock icon is illuminated, the dispenser and control panel buttons will not operate. If the dispenser does not hum when you try to dispense water, the door switch may be disconnected. If you hear the dispenser humming or trying to dispense, check to see if water is getting to the dispenser. To do that, remove the filter and hold it over the sink with the tip facing down to see if water comes out. If water doesn't come out, check all water supply valves to make sure that they are opened fully. Check the connections behind the refrigerator and check to make sure that the water lines are not kinked or pinched. If water comes out of the water filter, try dispensing with the water filter removed. If it dispenses water, it means you will need to replace the water filter or that your water pressure is too low.
