Hi jjs, it is recommended that you replace the water filter on the LG 26 cu.ft. Ultra Large Capacity Side-By-Side Refrigerator, Model # LSXS26326S every 6 months or when the water filter indicator turns on. Other indications for when to change it will be when the water dispenser output decreases, or when the ice cubes are smaller than normal...^IFV
