I've already contacted LG and the CSR was less than helpful. As I would be typing a response in the virtual chat, I would get a message from the rep, "is there anything else I can do for you?" I do not like to be rushed in these situations until I say I'm ready to end the conversations. I had indicated to the CSR, the clicking sound did not start until 2, now 3, weeks ago. The unit was whisper quiet until then and the only reply I got was "that's normal." I can see it now, after the warranty expires, I'll be told I need a new compressor. All of my appliances are LG and my first encounter with a CSR was for the fridge. When the time comes, Im doubtful that LG will be my first choice. Also Best Buy delivery was atrocious as they would not connect the water line to the fridge even though I had asked the salesperson repeatedly that the unit would be attached to the water line AND purchased the required new water connector. Every answer was "yes" until the day of delivery.

We understand your inquiry and the concerns you have regarding the clicking sound coming from the compressor area. According to our official resources, clicking sounds are often natural occurrences caused by internal components, such as plastic parts or shelves, expanding or contracting as the temperature inside the refrigerator changes during the cooling process. This is similar to the thermal expansion and contraction that happens in many high-quality appliances. We would like to assist you further to ensure your unit is operating correctly and to address any other questions you may have.
