Hi I never used the ice maker . I have not had any issues with the top shelf freezer being frosty.I set my freezer at -3 and refrigerator at 33 because the juice wasn’t getting very cold. I haven’t had any issues so far. I know the top freezer has a light, but I wasn’t sure if there was supposed to have a light at the bottom freezer, if you can answer that question please let me know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your interest in the LG 27 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator (LMWS27626S) model. If you notice frost buildup in the freezer of your LG LMWS27626S refrigerator, there are a few potential causes and solutions to consider: 1. Blocked Drain Line: Check for any blockages in the drain line and clear them if necessary. This can help prevent ice buildup. 2. Temperature Settings: Make sure the temperature settings for both the freezer and refrigerator compartments are set properly. Adjust them if needed to avoid excessive cooling. 3. Door Closure: Ensure that the refrigerator doors are closing properly and rearrange any food items that may be preventing a tight seal. 4. Environmental Conditions: Consider the installation location of the refrigerator. Direct sunlight or being near a heat source can affect its freezing function. Extreme temperatures can also impact its operation. 5. Ice Maker Issues: Check the ice maker for any issues, like water spillage or malfunction, that could contribute to frost buildup. By addressing these factors, you can help reduce frost buildup in your freezer.
