Hi PeterL.The reason you are getting conflicting answers as to where the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 26.9 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator with Internal Water Dispenser and Icemaker - Stainless steel, Model # LMWS27626S is manufactured is because as a multinational corporation, LG Electronics maintains manufacturing facilities all over the world and depending on which distributor is used, the refrigerators can come from different factories in countries in which LG has factories. In some cases, parts for the refrigerator may be ordered from different countries and the refrigerator be assembled in a different country which is why the Country of Manufacture/Country of assembly on the nameplate that is on the inner wall of the refrigerator compartment may show a different country for one customer to the next, especially if the retailer got more inventory for the refrigerator and used a different distributor due to availability in the factories abroad...^Ivan
