Hi, sad to say it was not known until after we bought the fridge and got delivered that this fridge does not display current temperature. I thought it was a given that all fridge of this kind would provide you the current temp. But no, it only displays the target temperature. And to answer the question, you have to touch a button or open the fridge for the temperate to display...and what it displays is target temp...NOT current temp. What a let-down!!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This fridge (and many others like it) DO NOT display the inside current temp. just the "target" temp. (what you want it to be) Same goes for the USELESS app for your phone. We found this out after our fridge quit (only after 13 months) even though we have the extended warranty, that doesn't help when you have to throw away over $300.00 worth of spoiled food. Displaying the "target" temp in the upper & lower levels (freezer) is an absolutely WORTHLESS feature. LG: Here's an idea: Have an app that will send you an alert if the temp starts to drastically change. This would be VERY helpful. Why would I want to monitor an app for my fridge that tells me what the temp SHOULD BE?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LG are a joke. Neither the control panel nor the app can tell you actual temp of the refrigerator compartments. But you can connect to the “smart grid” ap your governor can reach his great fingers inside of your house to throttle your fridge temp when his poorly run state is low on energy.
