Hello, as far as I know, you should change the filter every 6 months or when water begins to slow down.
As far as a light indicator, I don't see anything that would indicate via a light anywhere in the fridge that would indicate so.
Your manual should also explane that as well. I believe it's on page 39.
But follow the recommended changes and you should be fine.

Yes it does, if you open the right door, on the right side panel there is a warning for the filter that will illuminate.
