“Water from supply line is not passing through the filter (Model #LRSXS2706*). It tastes awful. The filter is bone dry. It is obviously being bypassed. I called LG and the rep was no help. Did I miss a setting or something during installation?”

Check if the water coming out of the dispenser is 'slow' and if the water is 'cloudy'. Try replacing the water filter first (remember that the 1st gallon or when the water is clear to purge the contaminants of the filter).
