“Water from supply line is not passing through the filter (Model #LRSXS2706*). It tastes awful. The filter is bone dry. It is obviously being bypassed. I called LG and the rep was no help. Did I miss a setting or something during installation?”

Check if the water coming out of the dispenser is 'slow' and if the water is 'cloudy'. Try replacing the water filter first (remember that the 1st gallon or when the water is clear to purge the contaminants of the filter). Take pictures in case there is an issue with the refrigerator so you can try to have it looked under your warranty.

Do not dispense the entire 2.5 gallon amount continuously. Press and release the dispenser pad for cycles of 30 seconds ON and 60 seconds OFF.
