• Hello, as far as I know, you should change the filter every 6 months or when water begins to slow down. As far as a light indicator, I don't see anything that would indicate via a light anywhere in the fridge that would indicate so. Your manual should also explane that as well. I believe it's on page 39. But follow the recommended changes and you should be fine.

• Yes it does, if you open the right door, on the right side panel there is a warning for the filter that will illuminate.
