“I just hooked this fridge up to water and cannot get it to dispense water or make ice. I don't think the valve in the back is opening as there are no drips if I install and uninstall the water filter either”

Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out to us about your LG Refrigerator (LRFS28XBSI) model and the issue with the water and ice dispenser not working. Sometimes, when a new fridge is set up, the water supply line and filter might not have been purged properly. One helpful tip is to press and hold the water dispenser button for about 4 minutes to help flush out any air in the system. Also, it’s a good idea to check the valve behind the refrigerator to make sure the water supply is fully turned on.
