• The cables are straight cables. If you do not have an hdmi or DisplayPort port on your computer, you will need to purchase an additional 4k-compatible cable. I recommend using DisplayPort for the best image.

• The two cables provided are an HDMI-HDMI and a full size Display Port to full size Display Port. If you laptop has an HDMI output make sure it will support 4K at 60hz or you will get a noticeable lag when moving your mouse or scrolling. If you have a mini-display port, you will need to purchase a Display Port 1.2 compliant mini-display port to Display port cable.

• Either Display port or HDMI. Some laptops have mini HDMI connectors so you may need to get a new cable in that case. If you have a USB-C out like on the MacBook Pro you need to get a USB-C to HDMI adapter.
