    • Answer Hi Maude. That will depend on what type of remote control Comcast provided you with for your cable set-top box. If it is a universal remote that has discreet infrared codes you can use to control LG TVs, you can contact Comcast for the discreet infrared codes that can be used with the remote so you can control some functions on the LG 28 inch Class HD TV (27.5'' Diag), Model # 28LM400B-PU. They will let you know what functions it can control on TVs. Comcast does offer a Large-Button Remote to customers free of charge upon request. It is simple to program and can operate two devices at once, such as your TV Box and television. It is pre-programmed to work with Comcast's Motorola TV Boxes and TV Adapters and is compatible with the Xfinity X1 TV Box. Comcast provides this remote at no additional charge for their customers and offers help and support for using it, though they do not manufacture the device. It can be programmed for control of TV power and volume. You have to refer to the Device Codes list included with the remote to locate your TV manufacturer. The Set Up Codes for an LG TV are 302, 499, 549, 636, 581, 694, 001...^IFV

    • Answer 17.5" high x 27.6" wide x 5.5" deep. I bought this tv to fit under my shelf in the kitchen. The height of my shelf is 16". So I took off the stand/legs and it fits just under the shelf at 15.75". It works perfectly and I love it! Great color, sound from the speakers is great and the overall picture is fantastic! Great buy for a small location.

    • Answer A standard feature on all modern HDMI-equipped TVs is consumer electronics control, or HDMI-CEC. LG calls this feature Simplink, but aside from the name, it's the same HDMI-CEC feature offered on all smart TVs. This model does not support Simplink. ^Daphane

  • QuestionCan I connect an older Sony surround sound system (with HDMI outlet) to the set?

    • Answer You should be able to. There are 2 HDMI inputs on the TV. Connect your source (Blu-ray, game, Sat/Cable, etc..) to the surround sound audio receiver, then from there connect to the TV. Use all HDMI cables. Neither HDMI input has ARC capabilities so you will not be able to send the sound from the TV back to the surround sound system from a source connected to the TV.

    • Answer Closed Captioning is supported on the LG 28 inch Class HD TV (27.5'' Diag), Model # 28LM400B-PU and you can view captions when the TV station provides captioned programming. Program captions work only on digital/analog broadcasts or external input.The supplied remote control has a "CC/SUB" button that activates/deactivates the subtitles. To set the caption, go to Settings > Accessibility > Closed Caption. Change Closed Caption to On and select caption settings. CC 1-4 (Closed Captioning) / Text 1-4 Displays the audio portion of a TV program as text on the TV screen. Under Mode, CC1 is the most common mode in use. Field 1 data channels: two Captions (CC1, CC2), two Text (T1, T2). Field 2 data channels: two Captions (CC3, CC4), two Text (T3, T4). Service 1-6 This is only available for the digital broadcasting system. Under Digital Mode Options, you can set up the size and color of the captions on Digital Option. Please select Set by Program or Custom. Select Custom to adjust minute options such as the captions’ size and color...^IFV
