QuestionI've read online that LG is facing a class-action lawsuit for linear compressor failure in its refrigerators. What has LG done to address the problem? Does this model still include the compressor system that many customers have identified as problematic?

- Answer March 4, 2021 our LG fridge is not 3 years old. Repeated no cooling events over past two months, lost food, and living out of coolers in garage. Life is Good -or so says LG.. Still no cooling after two technician visits, compressor replaced, recharged system - and OMG DON"T BUY AN LG FRIDGE. Technician was very responsive and took good care -but we've since learned of all the linear compressor problems, class action lawsuit, customer complaints, and LG (Life is Good) indifference to the consumer. Married 50 years we've moved 9 times , lived in three different states - and never owned such a piece of junk in ANY appliance. OMG DON'T BUY AN LG.

QuestionWhat does the top freezer do and used for

- Answer We use our top drawer as a refrigerator for school lunches, it can also be switched to freezer mode instead and used for fast moving frozen goods like desserts or treats. Also a good place to put items you want frozen but plan to use soon.

QuestionWhat is the depth of the refrigerator with the freezer drawer fully extended (pulled out) including handle in measurement? I have a kitchen island that might need to be moved over.

- Answer The drawer pulled all of the way out including the handle is a little under 21". The depth without handle is 35.75" so I would say total of 57" of clearance and you should be good.

QuestionDo i have the choice to not use the craft ice feature? Can I remove the bin to have more drawer space ?

- Answer The short answer is no. The craft ice maker hangs down from above, so removing the craft ice tray does not give you much in the way of additional room.

QuestionHow far do the doors need to be opened to access the drawers? Will they open at a 90-degree angle, or do the doors need to be opened more than 90 degrees to fully pull out the drawers and access the contents? I have a wall on the right side of my fridge.
