“Can the craft icemaker be turned off, but leave the main icemaker on?”

• Yes. The ice maker is in the door. The craft ice maker is down below in the (bottom) freezer. There is a smart feature that understands when the bin is full and it will stop producing ice as well but yes, it has an off switch.
