Mine did not -- I even asked the delivery person when I noticed there wasn't one, and he confirmed that they don't. Because our refrigerator was damaged during delivery, we received a second one a week later as a replacement; that one didn't have the drip tray either, so I assume this is the way it's meant to be. Our old LG did have one, and I miss it; sometimes ice chips spill and now they just land or melt onto the floor.
