Worked great out of box. But unless you just want to use it as one large screen, you need to download LG software to be able to snap windows into different sizes, e.g. Side by side, up to 4 screens fitted equally. This changes the experience significantly for the better.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought 2, plugged one into my computers HDMI output and the other into a USB to HDMI adapter and they both fired up with no adjustments. Didn't even have to change to 2560x1080 resolution.

Please try again later.Hi Jack, when I first hooked up this monitor to my older Sony duo core XP computer it automatically adjusted itself no sweat but I can see the black screen fillers on both sides of the display to compensate for the video card. I then hooked it up to my new Dell Insprion computer with Windows 10, I core 7, 16 gb ram memory with a 2T hard drive. Brother the LG ultrawide monitor self adjusted and displayed widescreen in hd. I had to take a little time to learn the monitor's joy stick controller. The instalation booklet is vague but their is a full pdf owners manual in the monitor's disc. I sit arms length from this ultrawidescreen monitor and have no viewing issues.
