Yes it can. Using the software it comes with it allows for many different ways to split your screen and pin programs or web pages to them.

It can do 3 side by side if you overlap just a little. It can do 4 if you do 2 side by side and stacked.

The most that can be displayed side by side is three. Four pages can be displayed two on top and two on bottom.

There is a split with 3 across, and another with 4 (one in each corner). I'm a java developer and use it for work. i can code in one window and view my changes in another.

Yes it can. It has a utility that lets you select the number of screens you'd like to have open and their placement. Very easy to use.
