• If you have am HDMI port or DVI port (need adapter) on your laptop it should be no problem

• Go to your laptops manufacturers website and go their support page. You can search maximum resolution output for your laptop. The model of your laptop should be on a sticker on the bottom side of the frame.

• If your computer has an HDMI or a DisplayPort (mini or full-size), it will run this monitor just fine.

• as long as you have a video card from the last ~3 years with hdmi output you should be ok.
