I believe it will split screen although you may have to download additional software from LG.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an old mac book and it works great on that. There is software on the LG website that you will need to download in order to split the screen. But it is big enough for you to have 2 full size screens on the monitor at once. You can split it into 2, 3, or 4 screens, with many different combinations of bigger, smaller and different placement. It only has HDMI output so make sure you get an adapter to the correct display port if you need it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should work fine. I have mine hooked up to my MacBook Pro Retina (late 2013) using a single HDMI cable. You can also do the split mode using two HDMI cables (which I have NOT tried), but you can have one double-wide screen using a single HMDI cable right out of the HDMI port on your Mac. It uses the full-width of the resolution as a single monitor. I love it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The display will work good on the Mac but I don't know if the screen splitting software is compatible. Mac may have a seperate software that supports this functionality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This function depends on your OS, as opposed to the hardware. For example my Windows 10 at home does this by mouse dragging a window to the left or right edge of screen (auto-resizes window to half of the screen) or to a corner of the screen (auto-resizes to that quadrant of the screen). My Windows 7 at work only works with left and right to half size. Unfortunately, I can only guess that if Microsoft Windows can do it, then surely a late model Mac or Linux OS would be capable of similar feats.
