“detergent dispenser I too agree 100% with the other customers who inquired about the functioning of the detergent dispenser. When poured into the drawer, it DOES immediately pours out directly onto the clothes to be washed. From the very first use this happened. I did look in the owners manual to maybe find a resolution to this. It to me seemed like a defect, but try and disregard it, as i thought something that cost me over $1000.00 wouldn't have such a flaw. And yes, it would be considered a flaw,as you previously replied so rudely to a customers question having the same issue by saying " Our detergent does NOT drip out of the tray. It is dispensed at the appropriate time." And just on this Q&A there were a few with the same problem. . I feel quite annoyed to have spent over $1000 for this product, and get such poor performance.”

My LG does the same thing, the detergent pours out of the drawer in to the tub or on to the clothes. Since this unit was supposedly rated #1 by Consumer Reports, I figured it was the unit's design intent instead of a flaw. Now I don't know!

I checked all the other LG dispensers and even other brands and this washer is the only one missing a compartment and some kind of tube inside the dispenser that is why the liquid detergent pours out right away.

We regret that anyone is experiencing this problem with the detergent dispenser and advise that you please contact our Customer Service at (800) 243-0000 and speak to a Customer Service Representative there who can determine if your unit needs service or not and will be able to schedule a repair for you if necessary...IFV
