It has an In-Door Ice Maker and it does NOT have a factory-installed Craft Ice™ Maker that produces spherical slow-melting craft ice. The picture you are referring to is the ice storage bin in the freezer compartment that can be used to store ice from the In-Door ice maker when the in-door ice storage bins gets full. When the in-door ice storage bin gets full, ice production stops, so you can empty the ice into the freezer ice storage bin so ice production in the in-door ice maker can resume...^Ivan.

When you press the Ice Plus button on the control panel, the Ice Plus indicator will illuminate and activate the function for 24 hours. The function automatically shuts off after 24 hours. You can stop the function manually by pressing the button once more...^Ivan.

Q: QuestionFor model LF31T6230S is there a freezer ice maker in addition to the in-door ice maker. I purchased this item from Pacific Sales and the 1 page Product Features sheet shows "No. Freezer Ice Maker - 1". But I am getting no ice in the freezer bin.

It does not have an automatic freezer ice maker. It has an ice storage bin in the freezer compartment that you can transfer ice from the In-door ice bin to, when the in-door ice maker stops producing ice when the in-door ice bin is full. When full, the in-door ice bin holds approximately 6 to 8 (12-16 oz.) glasses of ice, so to make room for more ice production, you can transfer the ice from the in-door ice bin to the ice storage bin in the freezer compartment...^Ivan.
