“Is it typical to use pieces of wood to hold unit in place when there is a gap between bottom of oven and cabinet, Just replaced an older unit, concerned that heat from bottom of oven could ignite the pieces of wood. Wood placed by installer, fire risk?”

It would be impossible for wood to ignite Oven is wrapped in steel shell with insulation between steel shells We mount them in wood cabinets on every job I prefer to cut bottom flush on opening so stove sits flat on cabinet
