Yes it can. I installed it down below. Needed a custom cabinet to help fill a 42" space at the end of the row where the previous oven was. Works fantastically. I've never seen an electric cook like a gas oven. I'm not a fan of electric, but this thing converted me. Vents in the front. Although there is very little ambient heat released. You won't be disappointed with this built-in.
