• I have a 2011 Macbook Pro, but not using this monitor for that laptop. Video out will need an adapter to go to HDMI connector into the monitor, but should work. I'm running this monitor on a Mac Mini, which had HDMI out, so I don't need an adapter.

• Yes, the monitor has an input for connecting an external video source, as long as you have the proper cable, you can connect your PC to this monitor.
