No, the two small speakers go behind the viewers. Preferably widely spaced and near ear level. The wireless receiver can be hidden. Mine is behind our couch.

The receiver and smaller speakers should be placed in the back of the room facing the TV and the sub woofer can be placed by the TV or back with the smaller speakers which is what I did. I also purchased separate speaker stands so that I could adjust the height of the smaller speakers.

Page 4 of the Simple Manual that came with the unit shows the speaker placement and page 12 of your owner's manual also has a section titled 'Positioning the Speakers' that shows how to place the speakers...^IFV
