I've been using mine for a week and am connected through the optical wire. It sounds incredible. It was easy to set up and the only thing after connecting it was adjusting the woofer and the back speakers to fit the room. I did not try the HDMI connection. I did use Bluetooth with my phone and it sounded great too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All documentation I have read indicates you will get a better sound quality using the ARC connection, as HDMI carries a better audio signal. Read up on it to come up with your own solution, but I had this same question. My HDMI/ARC connection sounds GREAT, Debbie who loves dogs! (so do I, and I have THE GREATEST DOG IN THE WORLD!)
