“Should the end of this drain hose have an elbow on it? My installer jammed the drain hose 12 inches down in to my drain pipe. However, I was under the impression there should have been an elbow on the drain hose and it should not be in the drain pipe more than 4 inches deep.”

The elbow bracket is supposed to be connected within 4 inches from the end of the drain hose to prevent mold and microorganisms from spreading to the inside of the washer...^IFV
