The detergent dispenser drawer of the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Front Load Washer with ColdWash™ Technology, Model # WM3270CW has a dispenser compartment for each detergent type and each detergent to type can be added to its appropriate compartment. If you use a liquid detergent, check to make sure that the liquid detergent cup is in place. f you use a powdered detergent, remove the liquid detergent cup and put the powder in the main wash detergent compartment. Laundry Soap pods have to be added directly into the tub before your laundry. Do not place them in the detergent dispenser drawer (see page 20 of your owner's manual)...^IFV

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.leave white tab in soap drawer. it is gauge for liquid detergent, however if using powder, remove entire liquid soap insert. retain for liquid use. As for pods, throw one in tub with clothes, however I find that pods contain too much soap for single load. Also make sure any laundry soap used is HE rated.
