I used to work on appliances had this quite often there is already bacteria inside the drum on all washers I would recommend running a a fresh cleaning tablet through the washer a couple of times just to try to clean out any extra size bacteria. That may be inside the unit and then when you are not using it, be sure to leave the door open. It is a necessity on these front load washers, so that the seal does not grow mold!!

Electric Dryer (WKEX200HWA) model. Mold and mildew build-up can be a common issue with front-load washers, including the LG WKEX200HWA. This problem is due to the moist interior of the washer while the door is closed, as front-load washers are airtight when the door is shut.
