• A:Answer To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1'' (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4'' (10 cm) behind the appliance. Be sure to allow for wall, door, or floor moldings that may increase the required clearances. ^Daphane

• A:Answer The gasket has drain holes, so there are only small independent drops of water on it after a cycle. The door has a clever magnetic prop to keep the door slightly open when the machine is not in use so everything can dry out. And, there is a Tub Clean cycle designed to be used every 30 cycles or so designed to keep things clean, including unseen areas. If you choose to use the LG app, ThinQ, it will remind you when to run the Tub Clean cycle.

To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1'' at the sides and 4'' behind the appliance. Be sure to allow for wall, door, or floor moldings that may increase the required clearances. So the total depth needed is 34-3/8". ^Daphane

If the dryer is not exhausted outdoors, some fine lint and large amounts of moisture will be expelled into the laundry area.
