- Answer No, the 55” does not include additional clearance need for hoses and venting. To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1'' (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4'' (10 cm) behind the appliance. Be sure to allow for wall, door, or floor moldings that may increase the required clearances. ^Daphane

- Answer You can easily reach the dryer with no need for a step stool. The whole machine is on 74 inches tall. So dryer is somewhere in the upper 50” height. Extremely easy to load.

- Answer I'd say it can be used in an apartment, taking some considerations into account. It is heavy, but not more than typical stacked machines. It's comes assembled, so it's big to maneuver although you don't need to lift the dryer up onto the washer since it comes that way. It can be separated for installation purposes but must be put back together for it to operate. It is designed to be vented to the outdoors. Certainly the gas dryer version must be vented outdoors, but I used a similar type electric dryer for years with a water filed "ventless" unit designed for dryers, which does add humidity indoors.
