It's only dumb, if you don't ask. Yes, you just choose the "Dry" function when you start the washer. When it's done washing, it automatically switches to drying. Just a heads up, the dry function is not available for all wash options. I'm not sure why, and the manual doesn't explain why that is. However, it has a "Drain+Spin" function which you can use with the Dry function.
