“Can Tide with Downy HE detergent used in this washer? This is detergent that has Downy included. Asking because I read that using Fabric softener ruins the machine in the long run.”

Ultra Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer, Model # WM3700HWA has a separate detergent dispenser and fabric softener compartment, each of which will dispense detergent or fabric softener at the proper time within a wash cycle. Regrettably, we are not familiar with the Tide with Downy HE Detergent and recommend that you follow the instructions on packaging for its use or contact the manufacture for advice. The machine is designed to use Fabric Softener so it should not be an issue. What can become an issue is product build-up that never gets rinsed out. Every time you do the laundry, more and more product gets left behind. This build-up of detergent and softeners can make appliances stink, result in error codes, cycle failure, or machine damage. If you follow the manufacturer’s recommendations when adding softener and perform regular maintenance on the washer to keep it clean of product build-up, there shouldn't be any issues...^IFV
