The dryer vent is located on the top of the unit. The exit port is combined with the lint trap and the exhaust goes into the room. It's an issue if you live in a hot climate and you're doing a load in the middle of the day. The AC is competing with the dryer.

We understand that you're asking about the dryer for the WM4000HWA washer and whether it has an external vent. The WM4000HWA is a front-load washer, and it does not have a built-in vent for a dryer. However, if you're referring to the compatible dryers such as the DLEX4000W (electric) or DLGX4001W (gas), these dryers do require an external vent to expel air. Venting is essential for proper dryer operation, especially for gas models, to ensure safety and optimal performance. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wm4000hwa-front-load-washer#pdp_specs If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be happy to assist you.
