• The 40LH5000 seems to be an upgraded model than the 40LH5300 despite a lower number. The 5000 has three HDMI inputs compared to two on the 5300. Also, the 5000 has an optical audio out whereas the 5300 was criticized for having no audio out. The 5000 has the split stand legs; the 5300 has a solid base. Any other differences appear to be negligible.
